Everything below is in the box on day one. There is no paid tier, because there is nobody to pay.
Most planners make you pick a day. PencilDay lets you say by Thursday and puts the work on whichever day that week has the most room.
It plans around your meetings. Turn on write-back and your accepted blocks appear in your own calendar too — off unless you ask.
Scheduling needs no AI at all. A key adds plain-English capture, a morning briefing, and asking for a replan in words. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, or your own endpoint.
Share a link, let people book you. Your free time is computed from the same plan, so a booking and a work block can never disagree.
Claude and anything else that speaks MCP can add tasks, read your schedule and accept blocks. Token-scoped, revocable.
Add it to your phone. Your week is readable on a train with no signal.

Motion is a team project-management suite that also schedules. Morgen is a beautiful calendar client. PencilDay is neither, and it is worth being plain about that.

There is nothing to subscribe to. PencilDay runs on your own Cloudflare Workers, so the only bill is Cloudflare's, for whatever your own instance uses — a single user asks very little of it. We never see your data because it never reaches us.
You need to be able to run one command and paste a code. Everything after that is a six-step setup wizard in the browser.
Nothing breaks. The scheduler is deterministic — it does not consult a model to decide when your work goes. You lose plain-English capture and the daily briefing, and that is all.
No. An accepted block is fixed. Replans only ever move pencil.
